Areas of Expertise

While therapists are trained to treat a number of mental health issues, most have several areas of special interest and expertise.  At Wellspring Counseling Center, you will find specialized help with the following areas:

  • Sexual Abuse: Adults who were sexually abused as children often need special assistance.  If you remember being abused as a child, or if you suspect that you might have been, counseling can help.  Your therapist will treat this extremely sensitive issue with expert care and attention.
  • Adolescent Issues: Adolescence is a unique period of life with its own joys and struggles.  If you are an adolescent or the parent of an adolescent, you can be confident that your therapist is experienced at connecting with and providing solid guidance for teens.
  • Pre-marital and Marriage Counseling: If you are preparing for marriage or struggling in your relationship with your husband or wife, rest assured that you will receive competent advice on how to grow together and minimize conflict.  Your therapist is certified to administer pre-marital and marital assessment tools that will aid your relationship counseling.
  • Christian Counseling: For those who desire it, Wellspring Counseling Center offers a faith-based approach to counseling.  Having received education in a seminary environment, your therapist is well-equipped to provide counseling that is sensitive to and supportive of your Christian beliefs.
